As a guardian of a 5 dog home, I found this book very helpful, interesting, well written - there is nothing I can say that is negative about this book. One of my dogs is a major "police" dog, the type of dog that doesn't like other dogs to have fun and one of our issues was being able to play ball with the other dogs while she is around. By following the protocols in this book, we have successfully taught our dog how to let others play, without getting frustrated. And if she does get frustrated, she will run inside the house on cue. With all of the information out there on how to train your dog, I was surprised at how many new and useful techniques this book had, especially when introducing new dogs into our home. Ever heard of the "rag and wipe?" Me neither! But we use it now! This book covers issues with "petting wars", how to teach a solid "down", how to safely break up a fight, how to give your dogs chews without fighting - really all the issues with having more than one dog in the home, this book covers. It definitely set us up for future success.
